Enersol S16A Falling Drop Liquid Leakage Tester for ISO80369
ENERSOL S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester for ISO 80369
NOTE:
ISO 594 has been rescinded and replaced by ISO 80369-7. Because of the change from ISO 594 into ISO 80369-7; all tests per ISO 594/1 and ISO 594-2 should now be switched to tests per ISO 80369-7 (ISO 80369-20).
NOTE:
Enersol Model S16A Falling Drop Liquid Leak Test Device is no longer available for purchase. Replacement is S16B Falling Drop Liquid Leak Test Device. The physical changes in the new models make it unecconomical to upgrade them.
NOTE: Enersol Model S16B Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester has been designed specifically for ISO 80369 tests as listed in ISO 80369-20. Enersol Model S16B Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester is backward compatible to ISO 594.
ENERSOL S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester for ISO 80369
Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester
The Enersol S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester is made from aluminum. The Enersol S16A Positive Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester is compact and is sturdy and
hard wearing. The Enersol S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester has an integral pressure gauge which
comes with a calibration certificate.
The Enersol S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester requires the use a compressed air supply capable of
delivering small amounts of air at pressures of 300kPa. Enersol
can also supply the required compressor, on request.
The Enersol S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester is required for leakage and
performance tests such as those in: ISO 80369-3; ISO 80369-6; ISO 80369-7; ISO 7886 and ISO 8537 and the rescinded ISO594. Other standards such as ISO 7864
also require the Enersol S16A Falling Drop Pressure Liquid Leakage Tester by way of requiring
components of the test samples to comply with the clauses in ISO 80369-7 (formerly
ISO594-1 and ISO594-2). The ISO 80369 series of tests are defined in ISO 80369-20.
Use:
For the inspection of leakage of liquid from the connector assembly.
For the inspection of leakage of liquid past the piston/plunger stopper.
For the inspection of leakage of liquid from the needle hub/nozzle.
Principle: A connector is assembled to a reference connector, water is introduced into the connection and pressurized by the tester for a hold period.
Operation:
The user must first assemble the test sample with a reference connector using S15A and the appropriate reference connector for the small bore type. The connector assembly or syringe is then filled with a fluid, as described in the standard. The sample is laid onto the tester platform and fixed into place using the tester grips. In the case of syringes, the tester’s plunger stopper is then moved into place, to rest against the button on the plunger. For testing leakage past piston/plunger stopper, a side load is to be applied to the push-button. This is achieved by using the set of known weights supplied with the tester (on request). The tester is then used to apply a pressure in accordance with the requirements in the standard, and the user is to hold the pressure for a fixed period and visually check the sample under test for fluid leakage.
Requirements:
Stable, level, bench-top.
Compressed air supply, min 400kPa, preferably oil-free
Supplied Battery for the air pressure gauge of the tester.
