ISO 5408: Screw Threads – Vocabulary

ISO 5408 SCOPE:
This International Standard specifies the fundamental terms and definitions for screw threads. These terms are applicable to symmetrical threads and unsymmetrical threads, or cylindrical threads and taper threads. A list of terms specified in the text is shown in Annex A alphabetically. Some terms which are not included in the text are listed in Annex B.

ANSI/ASME B1.7M Nomenclature, Definitions, and Letter Symbols for Screw Threads, is the ANSI and ASME specification which has the same function as ISO 5408. ANSI/ASME B1.7 is a glossary of terms, related to screw threads.
