ISO 80369-3 Small-Bore Connectors for Liquids and Gases in Healthcare Applications - Part 3: Connectors for Enteral Applications; Annex C; Figure C.1 and Figure C.2 define the Female Reference Connectors are used in the tests specified in ISO 80369-3, Clause 6. Keeping with the experienced requirements of the medical industry; these ISO 80369-3 Figure C.1 and C.2 Female Reference Connectors are made from hardened stainless steel.

The ISO 80369-3 Figure C.1 and Figure C.2 Female Reference Connectors have design details which are not specified in ISO 80369-3 and which allow connection to test equipment. These design details vary by manufacturer. With the addition of an adapter the various designs will all work with the Enersol Test Equipment. The photos above help illuminate these design differences.

The ISO 80369-3 Figure C.1 and Figure C.2 Female Reference Connectors are an integral part of ENFit Small Bore Connector testing. The ISO ISO 80369-3 Figure C.1 and Figure C.2 Female Reference Connectors are assembled to samples for tests such as liquid leakage, air leakage, ease of assembly, unscrewing torque, separation force, resistance to overriding, and stress cracking.

To conduct the Fluid Leakage by Pressure Decay test found in ISO 80369-3 clause 6.1.2 the following Enersol products are required:

ISO 80369-3; Clause 6.1.3 - Positive Pressure Fluid Leakage
To conduct the Positive Pressure Fluid Leakage test found in ISO 80369-3 clause 6.1.3 the following Enersol products are required:
